DH tracks available April 2008

Our son who is 16 is going to be racing the world cups next year, starting in May at Maribor Slovenia. Because European tracks are different to Australian tracks, I am looking for some tracks that he will be able to practice on during April 2008. He said Schladming, would be a good place to go to. But it appears they do not open until July. Searching on the web it appears alot of the tracks do not open until July. If any one has any advice where he could practice, would be greatly appreciated

I don't know where you from, but I know a bikepark which opens end of April.

Maybe Schöckl near Graz is an option. It's not really a bike park, but a difficult downhill track and a cable railway. But it's usually closed for some few weeks for inspection in April. (2007 from 16th to 27th).

I'm not sure about the current condition of the track but maybe some locals can write more.
