Hier ein paar Punkte, die in der kommenden Saison zum Tragen kommen werden.
Downhill World Cup Points: The points table for next year remains the same for semi finals.....but for the finals, only riders in the top 80 Men, and top 20 Women will get points, not those riders who failed to qualify. In 2008, everyone got at least 3 points....this will not happen in 2009. Only finalists.
Overall Junior in World Cup: For the final podium of the year, only the winning junior for the year, per category, will be called to the podium, not top 5.
Skinsuit Ban in DH: According to UCI, all lycra-elastaine clothing will be banned (lycra-elastaine is the material to make the skinsuits…). No further information was given.
World Cup Results from 1991: The UCI confirmed that they have all hard copies of results and that ultimately all will be entered into an electronic data base and available on line. No time frame was given.
DH Juniors With Less Than 20 pts: The UCI have agreed to re-visit this matter, and IMTTO is working with the UCI staff to find a solution. The current proposal being considered is that UCI Trade Teams could register junior riders that don't have 20 points, only if the rider can produce a letter of endorsement from his National Federation. This means that when a team submits their list of riders for Trade Team registration, if they have a junior aged rider with less than 20 points, they must submit with his contract, a letter of endorsement from the NF. If this is not submitted, he would be rejected and not included in the team list of riders. This is currently being discussed and will be submitted to the UCI MTB Commission and UCI Management Committee for approval.
