For the seventh year in a row, Trbovlje has become a traditional venue for the slovenian downhill cup race or as it was the case in 2003 - national champs. Every year some of the best racers from Austria (Petch, Martinsitz...), Italy and Croatia come to race on (arguably) one of the best tracks around...It has everything, from rock gardens (famous part called "Manson"), roots, off-camber sections, speed (up to 70 km/h this year) and all sorts of jumps.
Track is pure fun, but not too difficult. Categoriesportsman, elite, juniors, masters,woman...hardtail)
Shuttling will be available for official practice and on race day.

The final preparations are being made on the track. There are some new berms on the track, and also a few new small jumps are added. The steep rock section has been modified and is now more "fluid".

Course description:
2000 m long, 350 m elevation drop, race time about 3:30, 9,7% dirt road, 30% jeep trail, 60% singletrack, 0.1% asphalt 50% fast sections, 50% slow technical sections Similar to last year’s (2004) course. Revised technical rocky part „Manson“ and a large jump before the finish. The most popular course on the circuit in the past seasons includes a variety of sections.

How to get to Trbovlje?

Exit E57 (Ljubljana-Maribor) at Trojane, head to town of Trbovlje (less than 20 km south), then from downtown Trbovlje by the hospital start climbing the hill (direction Cebine) to reach the finish area in Sveta planina.

bitteschen wer fährt denn dahin, nach trbovlje ??
der slowene, welcher mich in zagreb abgschossn hat, und vor allem meine glitzerneue bremsscheibe, würde dahin nämlich mir ein neues scheiberl liefern.
nun lass auch ich mich beim aufi-obi obi und es wäre toll wenn ein landsmann für mich das neue scheiberl entgegennehmen könnte.

Soo, war a schönes WE in Slowenien. Kurs war annähernd gleich wie voriges Jahr, vielleicht ein bisschen flüssiger zu fahren. Leider aufgrund der Terminüberschneidung mit saalbach und aufi&obi mit wenig österreichischer Beteiligung(3). Gewonnen hat, wie in Slowenien üblich, Luka Novak. Im Semifinale wars ein spannender Kampf zwischen ihm und RSP Fahrer Bostjan Volf, dem es leider im Finale den Reifen von der Felge gezogen hat(Tubeless unter 2 bar Luftdruck!!!).
Die Freude darüber lies er im Ziel in Petsch Manier sein Rad und seine Ausrüstung spüren.
Alles in allem ein geiles Rennen, super Strecke, perfekter Shuttleservice
