"Dear co-workers and friends, After filming on Monday for Kranked V, Tarek Rasouli, a Race Face/Rocky Mountain sponsored rider, had a serious spinal injury while attempting a large jump. Tarek was airlifted down to Vancouver General Hospital and is undergoing surgery today. I spent the day with him yesterday and he was in relatively good spirits considering his condition.
The severity of his injury won't be known until he's recovered from his surgery - the doctors can't say at this time if he will regain the use of his legs. Tarek will have a long road to recovery - our thoughts and prayers are with him during this difficult time."
Kamloops' rider Blair Jones is also in Vancouver General after a road gap gone bad at Rose Hill. Blair is said to be in good spirits and pledges he'll walk out the hospital unassisted within 2 months. If you are in Kamloops make sure to stop by JavaCycle to buy a sticker pack to help support Blair and his Family during Blair's recovery.
Best of luck to both riders for a speedy recovery.
